AllieBites Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of AllieBites, a product of Umfress Business Solutions, LLC (“AllieBites,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using AllieBites, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use AllieBites.

By using AllieBites, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. What AllieBites Does

AllieBites uses artificial intelligence and other software to analyze food photographs and generate possible recipes and related information.

Features may include:

• Recipe generation.
• Ingredient suggestions.
• Ingredient substitutions.
• Shopping lists.
• Food-preference checks.
• Nutrition estimates.
• Cost estimates.
• Saved recipes.

AllieBites is intended for recipe inspiration and convenience.

3. AI-Generated Content

Some AllieBites content is generated in whole or in part using artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence makes mistakes.

AllieBites may:

• Misidentify a food.
• Omit an ingredient.
• Suggest an incorrect ingredient.
• Generate incorrect quantities.
• Produce an inappropriate substitution.
• Provide incorrect cooking instructions.
• Produce inaccurate nutrition information.
• Produce inaccurate cost information.
• Fail to identify an allergen or source of cross-contact.
• Produce incomplete or misleading content.

You are responsible for reviewing important information before relying on it.

4. Allergy and Intolerance Warning

AllieBites cannot determine whether a food is safe for someone with an allergy, intolerance, sensitivity, dietary restriction, or medical condition.

A photograph cannot reliably reveal:

• Every ingredient.
• Hidden ingredients.
• Cross-contact.
• Manufacturing practices.
• Restaurant preparation practices.
• Ingredient substitutions.
• Contamination.
• Changes in packaged-food formulations.

The absence of a warning from AllieBites does not mean a food is allergen-free or safe.

Always independently check product labels and ingredient information.

If a food was prepared by a restaurant, bakery, caterer, friend, family member, or another third party, obtain ingredient and allergen information from the person or business responsible for preparing it.

Do not use AllieBites to determine whether an unknown prepared food is safe for a person with a food allergy.

5. Not Medical or Dietary Advice

AllieBites does not provide medical, allergy, dietetic, nutrition, or healthcare advice.

AllieBites is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical condition.

Information in AllieBites should not replace advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

6. Food Safety

AllieBites cannot inspect food and cannot determine whether food is:

• Spoiled.
• Contaminated.
• Undercooked.
• Improperly stored.
• Improperly handled.
• Otherwise unsafe.

You are responsible for following appropriate food-safety practices.

Use a food thermometer when appropriate and follow current guidance from recognized food-safety authorities for cooking, refrigeration, storage, reheating, and prevention of cross-contamination.

If food appears spoiled or unsafe, do not rely on AllieBites to determine whether it should be eaten.

7. Nutrition and Cost Estimates

Nutrition information provided by AllieBites is an estimate based on recipe information, assumed quantities, typical ingredients, and estimated serving sizes.

It is not laboratory-tested nutritional information.

Actual values vary based on brand, portion, substitution, preparation method, and other factors.

Cost information is also an estimate and may differ from actual prices.

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Review recipes before preparing or consuming food.
• Independently verify ingredients when allergens or restrictions matter.
• Follow safe food-handling practices.
• Verify important cooking temperatures.
• Use appropriate judgment when relying on AI-generated material.
• Submit only photographs and information you have the right to use.
• Use AllieBites lawfully.

You must not attempt to interfere with AllieBites, defeat security or usage controls, obtain unauthorized access, misuse free-access limits, or use the service in violation of applicable law.

9. Free Features

AllieBites may provide limited functionality without a paid subscription.

Free features and usage allowances may change.

The app will display the applicable free allowance.

10. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

AllieBites offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store.

Before purchase, the AllieBites purchase screen and Apple's purchase confirmation display the applicable:

• Subscription plan.
• Subscription duration.
• Full price.
• Trial or introductory offer, when available.
• Renewal terms.

The price and terms shown by Apple when you confirm a purchase control that transaction.

11. Free Trials and Introductory Offers

Eligible users may be offered a free trial or other introductory offer.

Eligibility is determined through Apple's systems.

Before starting an offer, the purchase flow displays the length of the offer and the price that applies afterward.

Unless canceled before renewal, an eligible subscription automatically renews at the price displayed for the subscription.

12. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew for additional subscription periods unless canceled before the applicable renewal.

Apple processes renewals and provides subscription-management controls.

13. Managing or Canceling a Subscription

Subscriptions purchased through AllieBites are managed through your Apple Account.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through Apple's subscription settings.

Deleting AllieBites does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Cancellation generally stops a future renewal rather than immediately ending access for a period that has already been paid for, subject to Apple's applicable rules.

14. Restore Purchases

AllieBites provides a Restore Purchases function for supported Apple purchases.

You must use the Apple Account associated with the applicable purchase.

15. Refunds

Apple processes payments made through the App Store.

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled under Apple's applicable refund policies and procedures.

AllieBites does not receive your complete payment-card details.

16. Privacy and AI Processing

Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices.

Before AllieBites sends a food photograph to a third-party AI provider, the app provides a disclosure identifying the relevant processing and asks for permission where required.

Food-allergy, intolerance, sensitivity, and dietary-profile settings are designed to remain separate from third-party AI prompts in the initial public release.

17. Your Content

You retain ownership of photographs and other material you submit to the extent you own those materials.

You grant Umfress Business Solutions, LLC a limited, nonexclusive right to process, transmit, reproduce, and technically modify submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot AllieBites.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content.

18. AllieBites Intellectual Property

AllieBites software, branding, design, graphics, original text, trademarks, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Umfress Business Solutions, LLC.

Except for rights expressly granted to you, these Terms do not transfer ownership of AllieBites intellectual property.

19. Third-Party Services

AllieBites relies on third-party services including Apple, Anthropic, RevenueCat, and hosting or infrastructure providers.

Third-party services may experience outages or change their services outside our control.

20. Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, replace, discontinue, or limit features when reasonably necessary for:

• Product development.
• Security.
• Legal compliance.
• Vendor changes.
• Technical limitations.
• Abuse prevention.
• Business operations.

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AllieBites is provided “as is” and “as available.”

Umfress Business Solutions, LLC disclaims warranties that may legally be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, and noninfringement.

We do not warrant that:

• An AI-generated recipe is accurate.
• A recipe is allergen-free.
• A recipe is appropriate for a particular person.
• Nutrition estimates are accurate.
• Cost estimates are accurate.
• A photographed food has been correctly identified.
• Food prepared from a recipe will be safe if the user does not independently follow appropriate ingredient and food-safety practices.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Umfress Business Solutions, LLC and its owners, officers, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to AllieBites.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to AllieBites will not exceed the greater of:

(a) the amount you paid for AllieBites during the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim; or

(b) $100.

This limitation does not apply to liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms attempts to exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or other liability to the extent applicable law prohibits such an exclusion or limitation.

23. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Umfress Business Solutions, LLC harmless from third-party claims resulting from:

• Your unlawful misuse of AllieBites.
• Content you submitted without necessary rights.
• Your infringement of another person's rights.
• Intentional attempts to circumvent security or abuse-prevention controls.

This section does not require indemnification where applicable law prohibits it.

24. Suspension or Termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, security concerns, violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or misuse.

Ending app access does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

26. Apple App Store

AllieBites is distributed through Apple's App Store.

Apple is not a party to these Terms between you and Umfress Business Solutions, LLC.

Unless a custom license agreement is provided through App Store Connect, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the license for the downloaded application.

These Terms govern the AllieBites service and your relationship with Umfress Business Solutions, LLC in addition to Apple's applicable App Store terms.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when AllieBites, applicable law, vendors, or our business practices change.

When appropriate, we will provide notice or request renewed acceptance.

The Last Updated date identifies the current version.
